Freedom has political, legal, communal and personal implications. Certain leaders may lean on our desires for freedom in order to promote political or legislative action. Laws and policies are crafted in order to protect certain freedoms. Cultural norms and traditions are established as guidelines for expressing one's freedom in the context of community. Therapists, psychologists and counselors navigate extensive training and education in hopes of loosing others from the mental and emotional burdens that hold them captive.
And then, into the chaos of earthly life enters a man who proclaims freedom in Christ.
So what does it mean?
